The ErgoDox FT DIY Kit is a complete set for makers who want to build their own modern version of the legendary ErgoDox.

This kit combines ergonomic design, hot-swap flexibility, premium materials, and full customization.

All components are matched, organized, and ready for self-assembly and soldering.

Key Features

DIY hotswap build

All PCBs include hotswap sockets, allowing you to install or replace Cherry MX-compatible switches without soldering them directly.

Perfect for experimenting with typing feel and gaming performance.

Switch compatibility

Works with all Cherry MX-style switches (not included).

Recommended: original German Cherry MX switches sourced from EU distributors:

Brown, Black, Red, Silent Red, Silver Speed, Clear, Blue, Green.

Ergonomic split layout

Designed to reduce wrist strain and support natural hand positioning.

Dimensions per half: 197 × 171 × 24 mm

Weight: around 600 g per half

Compatible with optional tenting/tilt systems.

CNC-machined, including the switch plate. Reduces metallic resonance and creates a softer acoustic profile.

Available in black or white, with custom colors (+€10 via Tip option).

All wooden and PETG cases are CNC-machined and hand-finished in our small workshop in Poland.

Natural materials may show subtle marks or differences, which are normal in artisanal production.
