AKUWRIST™ is a handcrafted acupressure wrist rest made from natural oak wood and standard upholstery brass nails. Designed for users of mechanical, split ergonomic, and ortholinear keyboards, it offers a completely new type of wrist support — sensory, grounding, and deeply engaging.

Instead of foam or gel, AKUWRIST uses a precisely spaced grid of 175 solid brass nails, arranged every 9 mm. This density ensures the nails don’t pierce the skin — instead, they create a uniform surface that stimulates sensory receptors in the palms and wrists. The feeling is unique, even intense at first — but not painful. Most users describe a sensation of cool relief, as if their hands were resting on ice.

Is It Safe?

Yes — completely. Although it may look sharp, AKUWRIST™ cannot harm the skin.

• The nails are standard upholstery nails, but spaced so densely that pressure is evenly distributed
• To puncture skin, a single nail would require at least 220 grams of direct pressure
• Across all 175 nails, that means a total force of about 38.6 kg (85 lbs) applied directly downward
• In normal use, the wrist applies only 1–2 kg of pressure — far too little to cause injury
